Infected Blood Inquiry Updates - 2nd November 2018

The Infected Blood Inquiry has published an update concerning three new documents now available on its website.

The updated documents provided by the Inquiry are as follows:

  1. Statement of Approach to Witness Statements

  2. General Restriction Order

  3. Statement of Approach to Anonymity and Redaction

We can also advise that as of today the Inquiry’s psychological support phone line is available once again. The support line is operated by the British Red Cross and can be contacted by calling 0800 458 9473 or 0203 417 0280 during the following hours:

  • Monday 11am - 1pm

  • Wednesday 7pm - 9pm

  • Friday 2pm - 4pm

  • The line also provides a message service to get called back.

The support phone service will be available until April 2019, at which time new arrangements will be made advises the Inquiry.

At the time of writing the Inquiry lists that 1,272 individuals, who are infected or affected, are Core Participants in addition to nine organisations (Including Factor 8) and seven charities.
