Inquiry expands premises as evidence arrives from NHS Blood & Transplant
The Infected Blood Inquiry tweeted yesterday that it has expanded its premises in order to take on more staff.
It was explained earlier this week in Birmingham by the Inquiry Secretary that the Inquiry team is now already in excess of 100 staff. It is not yet clear whether the premises expansion remains at the existing offices located at Fleetbank House in London or if they are elsewhere.
The Inquiry has also shared pictures showing what is easily in excess of 50 boxes of files which have arrived from NHS Blood & Transplant which is the successor body to the National Blood Transfusion Service.
The documents appear to have been stored at Iron Mountain which is the same third party archiving company used by the Department of Health & Social Care.
