JULY 2017

The contaminated blood scandal of the 1970s and 80s is an appalling tragedy which should simply never have happened.

Here's an overview of projects that Factor 8 is currently involved in or working on to achieve our mission.

After playing a key role to secure the UK Public Inquiry into the Contaminated Blood Scandal which was announced in July 2017, we continue to work with Government and our Lawyers to achieve the best outcome for the affected community.

The fatherless generation

The Fatherless Generation is a support group separate to Factor 8 which was established to provide a place for those who have lost parents to the Contaminated Blood Scandal to connect with each other, exchange stories and provide support.

We are continuing to work with Collins Solicitors alongside others in regard to the contaminated Factor products Group Legal Action which was successfully brought at the High Court in September 2017.

This is a new project which is currently in the works with more details planned to be released throughout 2018.

Get Involved and Join the community.

There are a number of ways you can get involved, whether you're wanting to become a Haemophilia activist or would simply like to connect with others who are affected.

We maintain a Private group on Facebook which accepts applications to join from those affected by the Contaminated Blood Scandal.

Our public Facebook page posts regular updates about what's going on with Factor 8 as well  as the various projects that we are involved in.
