WS

  • P57 - Their own leaflets or only nationally approved materials?

  • P62 - What is your understanding of why? / P64 - Why did you support it?

    • Did you have earlier concerns about this, previous to the 1980s?

  • P113 - With adequate funding, could storage and capacity problems have been resolved?

  • P126 - Is this to say that before 1984 the question of safety was not as important as availability? Should it have been?

  • P126 - It his understanding, even now, that “by 1985” products in Scotland “proved” not to transmit HCV?

Now-WS

  • Does he recall using SAGM? , From when?

  • DH uses this paper (of which he is listed an author) as their sole source that there are “28,000” people infected with HCV by blood. Link Removed

  • He was an author to the 1981 paper linked below key part “We believe that until a reliable test for the marker of non-A non-B hepatitis becomes available small-pool product such as dried cryo should be considered whenever possible for all haemophiliacs”

    • Link Removed

    • Can he explain why they published this paper?

    • Does he feel this message was followed?

    • Can he elaborate on how use of small pool had “overcome the problems of supply and demand” in Switzerland? - This doesn’t fit exactly with what he says at P109 of his statement.
