Sir Chris Wormald’s father involved in blood scandal

Today, The Telegraph, utilising evidence provided by Factor 8, unveiled that Sir Chris Wormald, the current Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC), recused himself from infected blood inquiry matters due to his father's role in the scandal.

Chris had previously downplayed his father, Peter Wormald's involvement in a meeting with Baroness Featherstone before the Inquiry was announced and wrote letters of apology for incorrectly advising former health ministers.
